Today, when I was faced with something I really wanted, I felt stuck. Probably because I wasn’t fully prepared. Instead of feeling comfortable, the more I tried to stay calm, the more nervous I became.
I don’t really know why this happens, or if there’s some mental trick to avoid getting nervous when you’re in front of something you desire. People say things like “take a deep breath” or “count to ten,” but honestly, it feels like nonsense — it doesn’t seem to work for me.
Maybe preparation is the key, but when you finally face something you truly want, it’s easy to freeze. It feels impossible to calm down.
It’s horrible.
